One town, One Community, One Family

These are just a sample of the words that the town of Wilmington lives by. The beauty of this town is that there is always something going on to bring the community together. Whether it is through the school or town events, the town of Wilmington goes above and beyond in order to make inhabitants feel as though they are a part of something bigger than themselves. In the school, there are numerous clubs and organizations to join. Programs ranging from Environmental Club to Drama Club allow students to get involved and work together to better their community. Athletics such as hockey and soccer provide students a chance to have fun, while also bringing home wins for the town to celebrate.
Out of school, the town of Wilmington is driven by togetherness and family. Patriotism is an immense factor in the lives of citizens, in fact, each year a carnival is held in the Town Common honoring Independence Day. In addition, the goal of this town is to work together to better the community as a whole. This year, a new High School was built which included a 9/11 Memorial as well as a bigger room for our spectacular band to rehearse. The most exquisite aspect of this town is that the inhabitants are like one big family and together, we are all proud to be able to say "I am from Wilmington."
Great job showing how involved people in the Wilmington community can get. I like how you have included the different types groups and organizations that you can be apart of. I also really enjoyed the amount of pictures you have chosen.
