My Home Wilmington, Massachusetts

If you live in Wilmington, Massachusetts, then you are a Wildcat for life.  The Wildcat is a symbol for our town and it is a symbol that every member of our community and recognize and love because it resembles every single one of us.  The Wildcat symbol is most evident in the center of town where our high school is located and where most of our sporting events like football and baseball are located.

In the center of town is where the entire community comes together as one.  it all starts at our 4th of July building.  The 4th of July building is where we celebrate our nations independence with party and games and most importantly every year we have a carnival come to Wilmington on the 4th of July.  This carnival is enjoyed by members of the community of all ages whether you are in high school or if you are bringing your kids to the carnival it is a fantastic time.

Wilmington is also a extremely generous to members of the community who have left to serve our country.  There is a memorial in the center of our town common, which is another place where community events take place, and it is dedicated to the veterans who have served and died for our country that are from our town.  Also whenever a member of the military returns home they put up a sign in the middle of town saying the soldiers name, their rank and telling people to "welcome them home."  This is one of my favorite things about my town because it takes a lot of courage and will power to join the military so it is great how we thank them and show them the respect they deserve.
