I didn't know how unique Wilmington High School is and how fortunate we are to be in a school that genuinely cares about clubs and extra curricular activities. Walking around the school I didn't think that we would find much that stood out at first sight, and I was right. We are all apart of Wilmington High School so we don't realize how fortunate we are because it is all we have ever known. We have never had anything to compare it to. However, actually stopping and looking at the hallway walls and all the signs the hung on them about clubs and extra curricular surprised me. It made me think that maybe every other school doesn't have this. It was notices from clubs like S.A.D.D(students against destructive decisions)and the best buddies club, which is when students get to sign up to hangout with and do activities with the special needs kids.

There were other clubs like the drama club, medical careers club, and the environmental club.

Environmental Club

Drama Club

Medical Careers Club
We are very fortunate to have these clubs for a number of reason. Clubs give kids something to do to stay out of trouble, they also help with future careers and getting into colleges. Not only are there a ton of clubs, some I have never even heard of, but they advertise them all over the school. Everywhere you turn there are fliers and posters hung about these clubs. We have about eight white boards on every floor with written notices and flier.
