Wilmington is a wonderful tight knit community. We have outstanding sense of patriotism. There is a building dedicated to The Fourth of July, a holiday that celebrates the freedom of the United States. This building consists of a select group of people that dedicate the whole year to planning our Fourth of July Carnival. The carnival is a large event that takes place the weekend of The Fourth of July, even the surrounding towns attend. The carnival consists of rides, games, and booths run by Wilmington residents. Most people find enjoyment in the fireworks that take place the last night of the carnival. Wilmington is known for having amazing fireworks every year.
